Johnny Bob’s 1st and 2nd Album as double-CD!
Disc #1: Carnival of the Brahma-Sox
Accompanied by various rumours concerning the true history of Johnny Bob the debut album „Carnival of the Brahma-Sox“ contains without exceptions songs from Carsten’s and Jörg’s school band days. Those tunes were arranged anew and various musicians participated in the recording sessions. At this time Johnny Bob was a studio project with Peter Piek on vocals, Philip Mestwerdt on drums and Carsten Díaz in the role of writer and composer. Jörg Purfürst was kind of mastermind who initially had the idea for this project and played most instruments. Among the additional musicians were Jan Brust (guitar), Tom Steinbrecher (guitar) and Matthias Willer (guitar).
Disc #2: Fjodor and the Water Giant
Second album gained very positive reviews, among them prog rock cult magazine eclipsed which published an article of the band. Basically it was produced the same way as the debut but consisted of old and new songs alike. The epic „Tom Bombadil“ was another recycled piece from school days whereas the title track was new and found its way on the eclipsed sampler in October 2019.
